Kat Atkins is The Little Chippy.
The Little Chippy studio (or more appropriately ‘The Workshop’) evolved from Kat’s desire to create a practical and inspiring space for her jewellery studio One Leaf Designs.
With limited funds as a new entrepreneur and acknowledging that a new studio was more of a ‘want’ rather than a ‘need,’ Kat became resourceful and found a new love in recycling, upcycling and everything in between. This studio allows Kat to create practical art pieces that continually challenge her to think outside the box.
Kat is now completing customised orders for work benches, event and shop theming. Kat has also renovated an entire house and is now fitting out a van to travel Australia.
Kat was also selected as an Australia Artist to feature in the iconic Sculpture in the Gaol at South West Rocks, for the 100th Anniversary of Closure of German Internment Camp, Trial Bay. Kat’s three larger than life sculptures ‘Rhythm Hunters’ won first prize as voted by the people’s choice.
