One Leaf is an Australian Jewellery company founded by Kat Atkins.
Kat originally began creating jewellery whilst living and working on Hamilton Island, QLD.
A broken wrist from driving rescue boats through waves on the Gold Coast led Kat to pick up the jewellers tools again to regain her fine motor skills and with a little encouragement from Kat’s older sister Joanna Darby (Australian Artist) a business evolved.
One aspect that sets Kat apart from other jewellers is her background in helicopter and adventure rescue. Kat has developed her own manufacturing niche by adopting similar techniques that were used when jumping from helicopters and hanging from cliff edges.
This valuable knowledge in how to use protective and durable materials has been modified on a finer scale to yield the creation of strong long lasting jewellery.
Kat works with different gemstone colour palettes and finishes each piece with the signature sterling silver bindings and handcrafted leaf. Each piece is the only of its kind not to be seen elsewhere.
One Leaf was featured in major magazines and reviewed by high profile brands within one year of operating and is now emerging in art galleries across Australia.
